I've been here before. Many times, in fact. Setting up a new blog, writing a passionate first post, convinced this time will be different. And yet, somehow, life always finds a way to pull me away. But hey, who doesn't love a good comeback story, right?
So here I am, returning to blogging yet again. Why? Because I need an outlet—a place to vent, share my thoughts, and connect with people who get it. A place where I can talk openly about faith, the world as I see it, and maybe let off a little steam (or a lot, depending on the day).
In the past, I've started blogs with good intentions, but they've fallen by the wayside. Maybe life got too busy. Maybe I lost the drive. Maybe it was just easier not to write than to confront what's on my mind. But the urge to express myself keeps coming back. This time, I'm hoping it sticks.
Part of why I'm diving back in is that my life is different now—my perspective is clearer. My faith is deeper. The world feels crazier, and I have a lot to say about it. Blogging gives me the freedom to unpack my thoughts, wrestle with ideas, and maybe offer a fresh take that someone else might find useful.
And speaking of sharing my thoughts, I'm also launching a podcast, "Jason Abt IRL." It's another avenue to tackle subjects close to my heart: faith, politics, culture, and even my personal journey navigating life with autism (ASD-1). I'm excited to build connections through meaningful conversations, bringing my voice into the mix, raw and authentic.
Blogging and podcasting together just makes sense. They complement each other—allowing me to express myself fully and authentically. Writing provides the quiet reflection I need; podcasting offers dynamic interaction and dialogue. Both keep me accountable and inspired.
So, here's to new beginnings (again). I'm back, I'm ready, and maybe this time, it'll be for good. Thanks for joining me on the ride. Let's see where it takes us.
